Ghanaian airline company, Goldstar Air have reacted to fictitious publication on the internet concerning their partnership deal with Liberia carrier flag, Lone Star Air
Having launched the partnership deal in Liberia on last Friday by President George Oppong Weah came with reports that the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) before the launching ceremony, raised a red flag concerning the safety of the airline.[ads2]
The reports were that the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority indicated that Goldstar Air has not fulfilled certain conditions as set out under the Air Carrier License (ACL) and the company has no Ghana AOC to operate as airline.
Responding to the reportage in a statement, the management of Goldstar Air have denied the reports, stressing that the company have license to function as airline.
Part of the statement reads that, “President George Weah wants to create decent jobs for his citizens and not to compromise with safety issues or put the lives of his citizens at risk”[ads3]
“We are also aware that airline foreign companies will have to meet up with all requirements in line with the Liberia Civil Aviation Authority (LCAA) including the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards before being permitted to operate in the sector in Liberia.”
