The United States of America (USA) president-elect Joe Biden has said he is looking forward to hold a future dialogue with Ghana’s President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo.
According to Biden, he is looking forward to working with President Akufo-Addo in addressing the common problems facing both countries.[ads2]
Biden said this in a letter replying to President Akufo-Addo’s congratulatory message when he was declared the United States of America president-elect.
The letter which was published by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin reads, “Dear President Akufo-Addo, thank you for your kind words and well wishes. I am sorry that we have not yet had the opportunity to connect by phone”[ads3]
“It is my great honour to have been elected the next President of the United States , and I understand just how much work lies ahead of us”
“Vice President-elect Harris and I will take office at a time of great global challenges – from the coronavirus to climate change – that transcends borders and require international cooperation”
“We look forward to working with youth and your government on addressing the common problems facing our countries and our people.[ads4]
“Thank you, President Akufo-Addo. I look forward to future dialogue.”
Joe Biden would be sworn into office as President of the United States of America on January 20, 2021 few days after that of President Akufo-Addo.[ads5]
