Ghanaian gospel musician Patience Nyarko has said fellow gospel artiste Joe Mettle is not up there since according to her, Mettle only sings Pentecost and Methodist songs.
According to Patience Nyarko, the Onwanwani hit-maker will fall should the Methodist Church and the Church of Pentecost direct that their songs shouldn’t be used by any gospel musician henceforth.
“Joe Mettle is not up there yet. How many English songs does he have?.. He only sings Pentecost and Methodist songs, should in case these churches direct that no gospel artiste should use their songs, he will fall”, she said on Onua FM.

Patience Nyarko was responding to a comment by UK based event Promoter DJ Alordia that Ghanaian gospel music doesn’t cut across because of the language so as a promoter and an event organizer when he brings Ghanaian musicians for events, he does not get other nationals like Nigerians and South Africans attending.
Alordia only singled out Joe Mettle as the only Ghanaian gospel musician with audience from other countries because he uses English in most of his songs.

His comment didn’t go down well with Patience Nyarko who believes Alordia was looking down on the Ghanaian gospel musicians who sings in ‘twi’.
