Medeama Sporting Club emerged as the winners of the Ghana Football Association Super Cup after a 2-1 win against Dreams Football Club at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
The Ghana Premier League holders proved superior to the MTN FA Cup winners following a first half 2-0 advantage courtesy Johnathan Sowah.
Johnathan Sowah who has been drafted in the recent released Black Stars squad to face Central Africa Republic and Liberia opened the scorecards on the 19th minute and added the cushioning on the 23rd minute to ensure Medeama Sporting Club pushed into cruise control of the game.
The Tarkwa-based side saw their lead slashed into half on the 78th minute making the final 12 minutes a tightest of the entire game.
Medeama Sporting Club held it tight at the back and ensured victory was theirs after all at the end of the game.
It is the second Super Cup title for Medeama Sporting Club having won it in 2015 against Ashantigold Sporting Club.
