Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew was sent off in Crystal Palace’s 2-1 loss to Liverpool in match week 16 of the English Premier League.
Jordan Ayew was sent off by the referee after been shown the yellow card twice.
He was shown the first yellow card on the 60th minute after kicking the ball away when the referee blew his whistle for a Liverpool free-kick.
The first yellow card was enough to rule him out Palace’s next fixture due to other accumulated yellow cards.
Ayew was shown the second yellow card and the red after a needless tackle on Liverpool’s Harvey Elliot on the 75th minute.
His red card dealt Crystal Palace a huge blow as it paved way for Liverpool to make a comeback having gone down by a goal on the 57th minute with Mateta connecting from the penalty spot.
Liverpool’s first goal came on the 76th minute, exactly a minute after Jordan Ayew was sent off. Liverpool scored again in added in time to grab all three points.
