Within two games of his debut in the North American football league, Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil has made the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Week.
After playing a key role in Los Angeles Galaxy’s 3-1 victory over San Jose Earthquake in the Cali Clasico, Paintsil was added to the squad.
The Black Stars winger’s team drew 1-1 with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami in the season opener, and in his next game, he scored a goal and provided an assist in the victory that maintains Galaxy’s undefeated start to the season.
Paintsil, who inked a contract with Galaxy last month from Belgian league team KRC Genk, was listed on the left attacking side of the MLS team with Luis Suarez of Inter Miami and Lionel Messi on the middle and right sides, respectively.
