The Western Region of Ghana has recorded eight new cases of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.
According to information reaching the media, the cases relate to samples taken during a routine surveillance across the region for the novel coronavirus. This brings to total of nine confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region.

According to the information, a Contact Tracing Team has been activated to identify contacts of the infected persons.
Per the information, six (6) of the cases were recorded in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, and the remainder (2) are from Axim.

Meanwhile, the Regional Health Directorate is expected to update the public on this report tomorrow morning.
