Asante Kotoko deputy captain Justice Blay has expressed his disappointment regarding poor attendance during match days by the Kumasi Asante Kotoko fans.
He said it is very pathetic and depressing looking at how attendance is dwindling each and every match day. He compared the time he first singed for Kotoko and what he saw about their fans. Blay reminisced about how he couldn’t believe the atmosphere when coming from the tunnel during match days. He said,
“It’s depressing. I remember when I first joined the club, I couldn’t believe the atmosphere in the tunnel. But things have changed now. I’m urging the fans to come to the stadium and support us.
The skipper also believes that some players can play better when they see fans and hear tumultuous creeks from fans in the stadium.
“Some players perform better when they see the fans cheering in the stands. We are determined to win. I’ve already told my teammates to step up because Karela always puts up a strong fight here. We will approach the game with determination, ” he concluded.
