Ghana forward Kamaldeen Sulemana has reacted to his brace against Liverpool in the last day of the English Premier League on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
The 21-year old netted twice for Southampton in four-all stalemate against Liverpool at the St Mary’s Park.
It was the first time Kamaldeen Sulemana was scoring for Southampton since joining the club in February, 2023.
“I felt so relieved. It was hard mentally to wait that long but I’m glad I finally got off the mark,” a relieved Sulemana told BBC Radio after the game.
On his future after Southampton has been relegated from the English top-flight league, Kamaldeen Sulemana said “I’m ready for whatever’s next. If I stay, I’ll stay and help the team bounce back. If there’s an opportunity to explore I will take it.”
Kamaldeen Sulemana joined Southampton in February, 2023 after excelling at French ligue I outfit Rennes.
He managed two goals in 18 matches for Southampton with an assist.
Kamaldeen Sulemana could leave Southampton in the summer transfer window with clubs in England, Spain and France reportedly interested in his signature.
