Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong is confident of becoming the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 polls.[ads2]
According to the outspoken lawmaker, the kind of personalities vying for the enviable position makes him an underdog but will surely win the race and lead the party in the 2024 general elections.
“I am sure you have heared that I will be contesting, I am going to contest and in the contest, look at the people I will be contesting with you realize that I am the underdog”, Mr Agyapong said when he visited Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah at his church, Glorious Word Power Ministries International on Sunday, January 22, 2023.[ads3]
He stated that when he becomes the President of Ghana, his administration will turn things around and make the country a better one in all sectors.
He added, “…Pray for me, no matter the situation we are in today Kennedy Agyapong as President will make a difference.”[ads4]
Kennedy Agyapong will compete with former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen for the NPP flagbearership position alongside former Agric Minister, Owusu Akoto Afriyie and likely the Vice President of the republic, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.[ads5]
