The world has been hit with a deadly disease called Coronavirus, which is killing thousands of people across the globe.
The disease, since it outbreak in China’s Wuhan Province in about three months ago, has spread to over 120 countries worldwide.

Since it outbreak, 142897 cases have been reported with 5375 death whilst 70, 920 affected persons have recovered.
On Thursday, March 12, 2020 recorded two cases and the health ministry have urged Ghanaians to be wary of their daily activities.
Below are symptoms of the disease;
1. Sore throat: The disease first affect the throat, resulting to a sore throat which lasts about 3-4 days.
2. Nasal Fluid: After the sore throat, the virus blend into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs causing pneumonia. This takes about 5-6 days further.

3. High Fever: The third symptom of the deadly disease is high fever. After the pneumonia comes high fever and makes the affected person to have difficulties in breathing. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind but the affected person begun to feel drowning and it’s imperative which one needs to immediately seek for medical attention.
Preventive Measures
If a person has a runny nose and sputum, it means the person has a common cold. The Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose. The new virus is not heat-resistant and will killed by a temperature of just 26/27 Celsius because it hates the sun.

Below are the preventive Measures;
1. According to medical practitioners, if someone sneezed, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
In case it drops on a metal surface, it will live for at least 12 hours,so when one comes into contact with any metal surface, wash the hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap.
But when it drops on fabrics, it can survive for 6-12 hours and normally laundry detergent will kill it.

2. Drinking of warm water: Medicals experts have explained that, drinking of warm water is effective for all viruses and could kill the virus. It is therefore advisable to avoid drinking liquids with ice.
3. Washing the hands frequently: Hand washing is also another preventive measure in dealing with the deadly Coronavirus disease. The virus can live on the hands for 5-10 minutes, but a lot can happen during that time i.e rubbing the eyes, picking of nose unwittingly and it’s advisable to wash the hands frequently.
4. Drinking of Excessive Water: Medical practitioners have explained that this method cannot be emphasized but a simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice.
