Coach Gareth Southgate has named Kobby Mainoo in the Three Lions’ provisional squad for Euro 2024 in Germany.
Mainoo’s first senior team call-up came for England’s friendlies against Brazil and Belgium in March 2024. On March 23, 2024, he made his Wembley Stadium debut at the age of eighteen, coming on as a 75th-minute substitute for Conor Gallagher during a 1-0 loss to Brazil.
Three days later, though, he made his first-ever England start at Wembley against Belgium again. He replaced James Maddison after 75 minutes, and on his debut, he was named man of the match.
Jordan Henderson and Marcus Rashford were excluded.
