Kumasi Asante Kotoko thrilled Ghana Black Meteors 3:0 in a preparatory match ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Amos Frimpong’s brace and a brilliant goal from Jordan Opoku were enough for the Porcupine Warriors as they whipped the Ghana U-23 by 3:0 at the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday.
The encounter was to serve as the final preparatory match for coach C.K Akunnor’ side as they face Kariobanji Sharks from Kenya in the first leg of the second stage of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminaries at the Kasarani Stadium on Saturday 15th December,2018, 3:00PM in Kenya and 12noon in Ghana.
Songne Yacouba who was suffering from an ailments is now fit enough and would travel with the team to Kenya.
Kotoko will leave the shores of Ghana for Kenya on Tuesday 11th December, 2018 at 11:30am and will first pass Ethiopia before boarding a flight to Kenya.
The return fixture is scheduled for 22nd December,2018 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
