Ghana football legend Reverend Osei Kofi has reiterated that Asante Kotoko is not prepared enough to compete in Africa next season.
The Porcupine Warriors have been granted the permission to represent Ghana in the 2018-19 CAF Confederation cup after it management petitioned the Normalization Committee over a decision that no club will participate in Africa following the halting of league season in the country.

However, the 1965 Africa Cup of Nations joint top scorer believes the Kumasi based team are not ready for the Confederation cup next season even though the team is willing to represent Ghana next season.
” I think Kotoko is not ready because even at the time that there was active football in the country, what was their performance in their last Africa campaign?
“But if they want to go to Africa next season then they should engage in some competitive friendly matches to keep their players fit ahead of the tournament next season but if not so then it will be very difficult for them”, he told Sekondi based Radio Silver during an interview.
Meanwhile, Kotoko as part of strengthening their squad for the next season’s Confederation cup have secure the services of some players which includes former Wydad Casablanca and T.P Mazembe’s midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei and are currently chasing for the signature of Karela United midfielder Abdul Ganiu
