Kumasi Asante Kotoko have readied a substantial amount to sign seven new players to assist newly contracted head coach Charles Kwablah Akunnor says Public Relations Officer Lawyer Sarfo Duku.
The former Ashantigold SC, Accra Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC gaffer has been charged to deliver the coveted CAF Champions League title which has eluded Kumasi Asante Kotoko for almost 36 years.
Asante Kotoko, as the most successful club in the CAF Club tournament, last won the title 1983 and are eager to stretch full length to deliver again.
Speaking on Oyerepa 100.7FM, Lawyer Sarfo Duku, the Porcupine Warriors Chief in Communication pointed out the club’s commitment to ensure, newly appointed manager, Charles Akunnor achieves the target.
“Coach C. K Akunnor has 3 years and for that period he has to win an African trophy for the club ”
“As management we are solidly behind him and we know it’s possible, So for this reason apart from the already new players signed we are looking at augmenting our team with about 7 more new players to help him achieve the target set for me”
“I am confident with these additions and support from all to achieve the aim”.
