Kumasi Asante Kotoko has reached a mutual agreement to terminate the contracts of some players ahead of the 2023/2024 season.
The four affected players are Mohammed Alhassan, Charles Owusu, Samuel Boateng and Dickson Afoakwa.
The club confirms this information in an official Facebook post “The Club will like to confirm the departure of these gentlemen by mutual consent.
We are grateful for their contributions during their time with us and wish them the very best for the future.”
Mohammed Alhassan leaves the Kumasi based club after just one season, as his performance did not meet the club’s standards whiles Samuel Boateng has just returned from loan from Samartex 1996.Charles Owusu and Dickson Afoakwa have also been at the club for just two years.
The re-appointment of Dr.Prosper Nartey Ogum, has brought about several departures and recruitments by Kotoko in preparation for the upcoming season.

The impending exits illustrate the dynamic nature of football decisions, and the club’s commitment to success in the future is unwavering as the club continues to bolster their squad with more youngsters.
