Abdul Fatawu Safiu has sealed his return to Asante Kotoko for the second round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
Safiu has had a successful medical examination which was a key step toward his reunification with Kotoko.
After a two-year contract was signed, Safiu’s medical procedures were finished, formally confirming his commitment to the Porcupines.
He will soon return to Kumasi this weekend to begin training with the Porcupines.
The 29-year-old forward, who has been without a club since splitting with Iraqi team Al-Sinaa SC in June 2023, returns to Kotoko with his experience and goal-scoring ability.
Safiu demonstrated his abilities in the 2018–19 CAF Confederation Cup, contributing three goals and two assists during his previous stint with the team.
