Asante Kotoko goal poacher Frederick Boateng purported move to Egyptian giant Petrojet has been cancelled.
The ace Asante Kotoko striker was reported to have sealed shocking and lucrative deal with the Egyptian side after negotiations between the involved parties.
However, report from Kumasi based Light FM owned by Dr. Kwame Kyei ( CEO of Kotoko) indicates that the deal has been cancelled due to failure of getting a release letter from Asante Kotoko.
Boateng was supposed to have fly for Egypt ahead of his move last weekend but reports continued that the deadly attacker is still in Kumasi and at the camp of the Porcupine Warriors preparing for their CAF Confederation Cup second group stage game against Zambian giants ZESCO United.
The Porcupines would host ZESCO United in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Wednesday February 13 and Kyfilla.com understands, Boateng is still training with the team.
