Asante Kotoko midfielder Rocky Dwamena is still holding to the club’s ambition of defending the Ghana Premier league title despite recent poor performance.
The Porcupine Warriors have gone two matches without a win, accumulating only a point out of the possible six.
Coach Abdulai Gazale and his charges lost painfully to Great Olympics and were hoping to make amends by beating Tamale City at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi over the weekend only for them to settle for a one-all stalemate.
Rocky Dwamena scored Kotoko only goal from a stunning long range in the 36th minute before Mohammed Yahaya could snatched the parity five minutes after.
After failing to beat Tamale City in Kumasi, Asante Kotoko have dropped to the sixth position with 43 points, seven less than Aduana Stars who have a game in hand.
And despite Kotoko moving to the sixth position, Rocky Dwamena who was delighted for scoring against Tamale City believes the club can fight back for the title.
“Not the results we were fighting so hard for, but am grateful to be on the score sheet. We won’t stop fighting for the ultimate. Nyame Ne Hene! Keep supporting, we will get there” he tweeted.

With six matches to end the league season, Asante Kotoko will have to step up to defend the league title.
Kotoko will continue their quest for the league title when they host Bibiani Goldstars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.
