Paul Brown of westhamzone.com has labeled Mohammed Kudus as a “stellar” signing for West Ham United and has shared his verdict on the Ghanaian’s impact behind the scenes.
The 23-year-old has started excellently at the London Stadium since arriving from Ajax in the summer, scoring twice in the Premier League and picking up another two strikes in the Europa League group stages.
While supporters have been impressed by Kudus’ early form with the Hammers, Brown has revealed that the attacking midfielder has had a similar impact on the dressing room as he appears to lift the mood of all the players around him.
As quoted by Give Me Sport (November 29) he said:
“I am really expecting him to go on and have a big season. I think West Ham have made a stellar signing here. He is someone who seems to have fitted nicely into the group.
“He always has a smile on his face when I see him around the club, and he seems to be one of those players who just lifts the dressing room.
“He comes across as a happy person to be around, and I think that’s a good asset to have. He has brought a lot of good things to West Ham.”
Furthermore, Kudus has added a level of technical skill to the Hammers’ attack that is unprecedented for a large portion of the Premier League. In recent weeks, the Ghanaian has demonstrated incredible skill with the ball and has adapted to English football like a duck to water.
By improving the dressing room, Brown claims that Kudus is well-liked at the London Stadium and has inspired some of the players around him to perform at their best.
The Hammers have far too frequently signed players who have excelled on the field but have had negative off-field effects because they are not motivated to succeed with the team. Kudus couldn’t be much further from that sort of player.
Hopefully, he can continue to go from strength to strength and have the big season for the Irons that has been predicted.
