Dutch legend, Marco Van Basten has said Kudus Mohammed is a better football player than Antony of Manchester United.[ads2]
According to the 58-year old, Kudus Mohammed is very smart and more technical unlike Antony who has enough skills but very ‘confused with things that he is trying to do’ in the English Premier League.
Both players were teammates at Ajax FC before the Brazilian winger left for Manchester United in a big-money move.[ads3]
Kudus Mohammed has been in a blistering form this season for Ajax FC which has won him several admirations.
But Antony’s big-money move to the Premier League has not yet resulted in a goal tally to match the mammoth fee paid for him, with only three goals and no assists in the Premier League.
He has also been criticised for his decision-making at times, notably attempting outlandish skills at crucial moments for the Red Devils with differing levels of success.
“I find Mohammed Kudus a much better football player than Antony,’ Van Basten said on Ziggo Sport on Monday evening.
“Antony has his skills, but he is confused with the things he is trying to do![ads4]
“Kudus has much better technique and he knows what he is doing. Antony may be faster, but Kudus is smarter and more technical. He is much more of a footballer, you can place him anywhere on the pitch, an all-rounder for the team.”
He added: “In fact, I like him much better than Antony. He’s more fun to watch play.”[ads5]
