Kurt Okraku has declared his intention to seek for office once more during the 29th GFA Ordinary Congress where he was applauded and given a standing ovation after his announcement.
Kurt Okraku will likely encounter a challenge from George Afriyie, the former vice president of the GFA who stood for office in 2019 but was defeated by the current president.Kojo Yankah has also declared his intention to run for president.

Okraku emphasized in his address to the Congress how committed he is to keeping up his position of authority in Ghanaian football.
His accomplishments during the previous three and a half years were emphasized, including Ghana’s victory at the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations and the senior national football team’s qualification for the Qatar 2022 World Cup following a victory over Nigeria in the final.

The next GFA elections is scheduled for October this year and will closely be monitored by people within the football fraternity.
