Earlier on Monday, August 21, at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, the vetting process for candidates running in the next Ghana Football Association elections took place as incumbent Kurt Okraku and aspirant, George Afriyie successfully passed all processes.
Candidates for the Presidency including incumbent Kurt Okraku and rival George Afriyie, were vetted in the initial round.
At 11:00 am, Kurt Okraku’s interview began, setting the stage for a widely awaited assessment. After that, George Afriyie, a former vice president of the GFA who wants to succeed Okraku, went through his vetting procedure.

On Tuesday, August 21, the vetting procedures will resume at the same location, the Alisa Hotel in Accra. All candidates vying for spots on the Executive Council will compete in this round. Kwesi Appiah, Randy Abbey, and former sports journalist Elloeny Amande are notable individuals fighting for these positions.
In the build up to the GFA Elections, which will decide the leadership and makeup of the Ghana Football Association, the vetting procedure is a crucial phase.
The decisions of the Elections Committee will be made known on Monday, August 28, prior to the Tamale GFA Elections on September 27.
