President of Ghana Football Association, Kurt E. S. Okraku has thanked Mr. George Afriyie for accepting to work alongside other 4 yet to be revealed team members to constitute the advisory committee of the Division One League.
George Afriyie was nominated by Zone 3 of the Division One League.
The two were in stiff competition during the elections to elect the Ghana Football Association president.
George Afriyie finished as runner up to Kurt Okraku in the race to elect the next GFA President on October 25, 2019.

George Afriyie who had previously served as Vice Chairman to Kwesi Nyantakyi conceded defeat after two runs with none of the aspirants pulling the mandatory 50+1 percent of the votes.
The GFA is yet to communicate the other members George Afriyie will be serving alongside.
After 7 months in office, Kurt Okraku has extended a hand to George Afriyie to serve on the DOL Advisory Committee. He thanked George Afriyie for accepting the role.
