Asante Kotoko Director of Communications Obed Acheampong has firmly debunked media speculations that Kotoko midfielder Kwame Boahene is battling stroke.
According to Obed, the former Medeama SC star has been training with the porcupine warriors, and will continue to train with the rest of the squad on Thursday ahead of their league match against Ashanti Gold SC on Sunday.
“The truth is Kwame [Boahene] is fit and has been training with the team”, Obed told FOX 97.9 FM. ” He will again train tomorrow (Thursday) and might be in the squad to face Ashanti Gold SC depending on the coach’s selection “, he concluded.
Obed further urged all fans of the club and all lovers of the game to disregard any reports associating the silky midfielder with any illness of a kind.
