James Kwasi Appiah has completed the filing protest to seek a seat on the ticket of the betPawa Premier League on the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council in the upcoming elections as revealed on Monday, August 14.
The former Asante Kotoko Sporting Club forward is believed to have completed the mandatory filing process which came to a close at the end of working day on Friday, August 11, 2023 and is currently pushing to be voted for on the Ghana Football Association Board of Directors for the next four years.

The Ghana Football Association despite earlier announcing that October 2023, will be the elective congress month later revealed September 27, 2023 as the actual date to hold the quadrennial election to elect leaders for the next four years.
In the race for the presidency seat, George Kwesi Afriyie, the former Vice President of the GFA will compete Kurt Okraku, the incumbent in the race.
The women’s premier league slot will see Gifty Oware-Mensah, the owner of Berry Ladies Football Club going unopposed after being the only candidate to have filed as of the closing date late Friday.
