Former Ghanaian international and Coach Kwesi Appiah has reportedly not received his financial dues from Sudan due to complications in bank transfers to Ghana, according to Dr. Moatasem Jaafar, the president of the Sudan Football Association (FA).
In a statement shared via Koora and published by Sporty FM, Dr. Jaafar confirmed that challenges in financial transactions have delayed payments owed to Appiah, who was appointed head coach of Sudan’s national team in September 2023.
“Kwesi Appiah has not received his financial dues due to the complications of bank transfers to Ghana,” the Sudan FA president disclosed.
The issue has raised concerns about the efficiency of international financial transactions and how they impact foreign professionals working in other countries.
Kwesi Appiah, a former Black Stars player and coach, took on the Sudanese coaching role with high expectations, aiming to revamp their footballing fortunes and has already qualified them to the next edition of the African Cup Of Nations at the expense of Ghana his motherland.
