Budding Ghanaian musician Kwesi Arthur has revealed the reason why he no longer sing in his church.
According to the ‘Grind day remix’ composer, he was scolded for singing VIP now VVIP popular track ‘Ahomka Wom’ after a Sunday School service.
Kwesi Arthur, a member of the Church of Pentecost disclosed that his act did annoyed the leaders of the church and he was severely reprimanded for that.
However, he added that the members of the church also scolded him and he also received some lashes from his mother. He further added that he had no idea what came over him, but he simply grabbed the microphone and began to sing the song.
Kwesi Arthur was nominated for the Viewers’ Choice: Best New International Act category at the 2018 BET Awards. He lost to Sjava of South Africa, but according to him he was humbled by the immense support shown to him by Ghanaians and the media.
