Former Ghana Football Association legal Committee Chairman Ernest Thompson believes Kwesi Nyantakyi’s appeal on the FIFA lifetime ban is laudable.
The world’s football governing body FIFA on October 31, 2018 imposed a lifetime ban and a fine of CHF 500000 on the former CAF 1st Vice President Kwesi Nyantakyi for his scandalous behavior in the Anas Aremeyaw Anas expose’ video which uncovered the rot in the Ghanaian football .
The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Premier league side Wa All Stars however has decided to challenge the decision from the Adjucatory Committee of FIFA by appealing.
However, Mr. Ernest Thompson who is a legal practitioner and also a former secretary of the Accra Hearts of Oak Board believes the decision to heed to the Court of Arbitration for Sports to appeal the case is laudable and he as a lawyer will advise Kwesi Nyantakyi to do so.
“Why not, I will advise him if am his legal adviser because it’s his right to pursue for justice”, he told Aseda FM in an interview.
He however continued that Ghanaians should know that Kwesi Nyantakyi has done a lot for Ghana in the area of football and he shouldn’t be seen as the worst person in the country.
