Kwesimintsim Chief embarks on campaign to end drug abuse in his community
Nana Wgozi Esson III, Chief of Kwesimintsim Traditional Area desperate about ending drug abuse in Kwesimintsim
Chief of Kwesimintsim Traditional Area, Nana Wgozi Esson III has expressed worry over the rise in drug abuse in the area. According to him, the menace has been prevalent among the youth and even worse the adult population in the communities.

Nana Egozi Esson III made this disclosure at the launch of the 2018 Kundum Festival of Kwesimintsim Traditonal Area. The main festive rites and celebration is scheduled to take off on from the 22nd to 28 September, 2018.
The theme for the festival; “Educating the youth on dangers of drug abuse” is expected to promote healthy engagement with the youth on drug abuse and related issues, and consider alternative and productive livelihood programmes to support their development.

Nana Egozi Esson III explained that the theme had to be repeated considering the surge and social consequence of drug abuse in the area.
Nana Egozi Esson III hinted of some stronger collaboration with security agencies to curb the situation.
