John Paintsil has advised Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey to make playing time the main reason behind a potential transfer move this summer.
Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey could be on his way to another club from Arsenal Football Club. Partey, who was very instrumental for Arsenal last season was substituted for January signing Jorginho in the later stages of the season as a result of loss of form.
Arsenal came close to winning the English Premier League but missed out to Manchester City in the last weeks of the season. This seems to have sparked some believe that the team can win the EPL and as a matter of fact have started making purchases to boost their squad and this in the long run can cost Thomas Partey playing time should he stay at the club.
Many clubs are pushing to get the signature of the Ghanaian midfielder including clubs in Saudi Arabia who seek to tempt him with money. Former Black Stars defender Joseph Paintsil says Thomas Partey should make playing time the main factor for a transfer move.
In an interview with Graphic Sports he had this to say: “Football is business, it’s not just playing for fun and as a player, you should know whether where you are going to play would guarantee you enough playing time.

Especially, as a national team asset, you always need to be ready for the national call-up as well. So, if going to Juventus will help him get enough playing time to be ready or going to Saudi to get enough playing time to play for the national team, the decision lies on the player”.
He further added that a move to Saudi Arabia will not ruin his chances of playing for the national team.
