Black Stars head coach James Akwesi Appiah says lack of football activities in the country will not have any effect on Ghana during the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Ghana were drawn in a tricky group comprising of defending champions Cameroon alongside Benin and Guinea Bissau in the official draw held today in Egypt.
Speaking just after the draw in Egypt, Kwesi Appiah stated vehemently that, his side are professionals and lack of football activities in the country won’t have any effect on the Black Stars.
“We all know what is happening in Ghana…, there’s no football activities in the country currently but my players are professionals and will deliver during the tournament”, he said.
The Black Stars are very determined to clinch the ultimate for the fifth time after last winning it in 1982 and will pitch camp in Qatar before moving to Egypt for the tournament.
