The Chief Executive Officer of Lawson Ventures in Kasoa, Lawson Letsu won the brand new Nissan Kick SUV at the MTN Momo Awards held at the Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi on Saturday, November 27, 2021.
Lawson Letsu emerged the overall winner of two hundred mobile money partners which was made up of hundred agents, sixty merchants and forty mobile money agents.
The Chief Executive Officer of MTN Mobile Money Limited, Eli Hini presented the ultimate prize to Lawson Letsu in a grand ceremony last Saturday.
Other agents and merchants were also given various categories of awards ranging from TV sets, Fridges, Motorbikes, Laptops, Cash prize and certificate for their effort during the year in helping sustain the MTN MoMo business in South – West Ghana.
An elated Lawson Letsu after receiving the brand new Nissan Kick SUV expressed his delight and urged other agents and merchants to assiduously to enhance the mobile money experience.
Speaking at the grand ceremony, Mr. Eli Hini urged various agents to serve as ambassadors for the mobile money brand to provide customers and exceptional experience.
“While we interact with you tonight, you are also reminded that as agents, you have a responsibility to serve as ambassadors for the MoMo brand. Your actions and inactions affect the image of MTN and for that matter Mobile Money Limited, therefore we urge you to provide exceptional experience for our customers”, Mr. Eli Hini said at the annual mobile money agents and merchants awards at the Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi on Saturday, November 27, 2021.
On mobile money fraud, Mr. Eli Hini said fraud activities on the platform is significantly declining.
He said this is as a result of measures put in place by the management of the telecommunication giant to enhance mobile money customer experience.[ads2]
Mr. Hini said, in April, the telecommunication giant implemented the ID presentation for cash out service. Apart from the initial challenges faced with some of vendors flouting the directive, the project, according to him, has been largely successful.
“Also, this year, we took the fight against fraud a notch higher as we collaborated with the relevant stakeholders to block the IMEI’s of phones used in undertaking fraud. This has contributed to a significant reduction in fraud activities on the MoMo platform. We will continue to count on all of you to report incidences of fraud to enable us to take the required steps. If you suspect any case of fraud, do not hesitate to report. “We are happy to note that since we begun blocking of phones used in defrauding customers, we have seen a decline in MoMo fraud cases. As we begin the festive season, we would like to urge all our partners and customers to remain vigilant in the fight against fraud.”
The event was graced by multiple award-winning Ghanaian artist, Kofi Kinaata who thrilled the gathering with an electrifying performances.
