A Lagos Magistrates’Court has remanded a lecturer at the Lagos State University of Technology in the custody of Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling his 10-year-old daughter.[ads2]
The lecturer was alleged to have been having carnal knowledge of the minor since 2018.
He was arraigned on a two- count charge last Friday bordering on defilement and sexual assault by penetration before Magistrate Bola Osunsanm.[ads3]
When the charges were read, Magistrate Osunsanmi did not take his plea.
She ordered his remand at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the Directorate of Public Prosecution’s legal advice.
The case was adjourned till March 6, 2023.
