It appears Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez is burning bridges at his current club, even with the transfer window closing.
Media reports suggested that Manchester City made several bids for Mahrez in the winter, but all of them were rejected. He even submitted a transfer request on deadline day, but a move did not materialise.
Then Mahrez refused to turn up for training on Feb 1, which has angered many of his teammates.
His teammates are not happy with his attitude, even though they may understand his desire to take the chance to move to Manchester City.
For his part, Mahrez feels “very depressed” at the fact his club did not facilitate a sale. He sees the figures offered by City for his services as very fair, and is disappointed Leicester did not accept a bid.
