The Ghana Football Association has announced a process has commenced to switch the name of former Ghana Premier League campaigners, Liberty Professional to Hohoe United Football Club on Thursday.
Liberty Professionals announced on Tuesday that it has divested its Division One League slot to new owners and will reestablish itself as an Academy side.
The Dansoman-based side has seen a decline in its fortunes after being relegated to the Division One League in the 2021/2022 Season.
The Club which is owned by Mr. Felix Ansong after two season in the second on the pyramid competition announced a new direction has been adopted and a sale of the Division One League slot has commenced.
It is believed that Member of Parliament, Honorable Peter Amewu is the one to have purchased the slot and has commenced the process as confirmed by the Ghana Football Association to be renamed it Hohoe United Football Club.
