Luis Enrique wants to bring his Barcelona backroom staff with him to Chelsea at the end of the season.
The Spaniard is desperate to reconnect with the men that helped him win nine trophies in three years with the Blaugrana. This group includes current Celta Vigo boss Juan Carlos Unzue.
The Sun has claimed Enrique has made getting his backroom staff a priority if he agrees to takeover from Antonio Conte at the end of the season.
The rest of Enrique’s backroom team – scout Robert Moreno, trainer Rafael Pol and psychologist Joaquin Valdés – joined Unzue when he moved to Celta in May 2017.
If Unzue refused to give up his manager’s job, it is reported Enrique would still want to bring the other members.
Former Barcelona scout and Enrique’s friend for 20 years, Lluis Lainz believes the 47-year-old will definitely not take the job before the conclusion of the current campaign.
Lainz told The Sun: “I don’t know if Luis has had contact yet or whether Chelsea intend to hire him.
“But my sources tell me for sure he won’t agree to sign until the end of the season.”
