Former Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Kojo Bonsu has said it will be very difficult for John Dramani Mahama to win the 2024 elections when elected the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, Mr. Mahama has had his reputation soiled by the New Patriotic Party (NDC), a situation he believes will affect the NDC in the 2024 elections should the former President lead the party as flagbearer.
“They have said a lot of things about [John Mahama], they have put corruption tag on him, they have said a whole of things against him that you can’t even take it off, that is where I feel very sad. NPP have really soiled him, he doesn’t stand a better chance”, he told Joy FM.
Meanwhile, Kojo Bonsu is among the candidates challenging John Dramani Mahama for the NDC flagbearership position after a successful vetting.
Seen as the underdog, Kojo Bonsu will have to defeat John Dramani Mahama and former Finance Minister Dr. Kwabena Duffour for the party’s flagbearership position.
