Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has described former president John Mahama as the archbishop of promises.
According to Dr. Bawumia, he is surprised with the kind of promises the NDC flagbearer is churning out to Ghanaians in his campaign trips.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Ashh FM as part of his tour to the Ashanti Region, Dr. Bawumia said what marvels him is the fact John Mahama said he will embolden the free Senior high school policy and even extend it to private schools when voted to power as the president.
“I’m overwhelmingly surprised that the man who said he won’t make promises is now the Archbishop of promises”

“How can a man who said free Senior high school policy was a hoax and that it will take the country 20 years for the policy to materialise is now a champion of it” the chairman of the police council rhetorically asked.
He indicated that the many promises being rained on Ghanaians by John Mahama is only to deceive Ghanaians to vote for him in the forthcoming general elections.

Dr. Bawumia therefore called on Ghanaians to be vigilant and not fall for the lengthy promises hauled by John Mahama since he has a track record of not fulfilling most of his promises when he ascended the seat as President.
“Let’s tell former President Mahama and the NDC that we don’t have time for them to come back to power to correct their mistakes because governance is a remedial classes platform”
“The NDC cannot compete with us in terms of ideas that are used in proper governance and that is the headache they have” the Vice President emphasised.
