A tragic accident occurred in Obuasi Amangoase, Ashanti Region when a MAN diesel articulated truck with registration number GR 2714-X experienced brake failure and collided with a Toyota Corolla taxi cab.
The truck, driven by 32-year-old Musah Fuseini, was transporting logs from Fenaso to Domeabra, both located in Obuasi.
As the truck approached Amangoase, the driver lost control and struck the taxi cab, which was carrying passengers and traveling directly behind the truck.
The taxi driver, Bernard Nsiah, managed to swerve, preventing any injuries to the passengers. However, the impact caused significant damage to the taxi cab.
According to an eyewitness, the truck driver began shouting to warn drivers behind him as he lost control.
