The Manhyia Palace has appointed a committee to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the team’s transaction with Tunisian giant Esperance de Tunis which has resulted to a fine from FIFA.
Kotoko were slapped with a whopping $240,000.00 fine from FIFA for failing to settle Esperance de Tunis the transfer fee [$150,000] of striker Emmanuel Clottey who joined the Porcupine Warriors from the Tunisian side in 2012.

Failure on the part of Asante Kotoko to settle the payment up till the deadline date [May 17, 2020] will end the Ghana Premier League giant facing a demotion or a transfer ban.
This has landed the Asante Kotoko management in several criticisms and other hostilities from supporters and the Ghanaian media.

However, the Manhyia Palace have stepped in to settle the matter by appointing a sub committee to investigate the transactions very well for the next step to be taken by the Palace.
This was contain in a press release from Manhyia Palace, ordering all hostilities against the club to be stopped.

The statement further state that, the committee has also been tasked to investigate the failure of Asante Kotoko to meet regulatory obligation from the Ghana FA Club Licensing Board.
