Reigning Champion of the BetPawa Premier League, Medeama Sporting Club will resume camping today, Monday, July 3, ahead of their maiden Confederation of African Football Champions League.
The Tarkwa-based side will bring their three weeks rest to a close and converge at the Tarkwa Akoon Park to put in the work for the continental campaign.
Medeama Sporting Club secured their first Ghanaian topflight league title after a final day 3-0 win against Tamale City Football Club, which meant the latter will also be relegated.
The successful campaign added to Medeama’s trophy haul of four titles; two MTN FA Cup trophies in 2013 and 2015 and a Super Cup title in 2015.

The Mauve and Yellows will be craving for a formidable group in the preliminary round of the qualifiers to be able to leapfrog to the group stages.
The League victory of Medeama Sporting Club also brought to an end a-46-year wait for the league title by any Western Region side since Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club in 1977.
