Kofi Asmah has expressed his excitement after scoring his debut Confederation of African Football’s Champions League goal for Medeama Sporting Club in their 3:1 win against Guinean side, Horoya AC at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
Asmah, who captained the team after the exit of two first team captains Vincent Atinga and Kwasi Donsu scored the third goal for the Mauves and Yellows in the 73rd minute of the game from a Fatawu Hamidu’s Corner kick .
Nana Kofi Babil opened the scoring in the 48th minute of the second half before Center back Nurudeen Abdulai added the second for the Ghanaian Champions in the 65th minute from a corner kick.
Speaking to the press at the post match press conference, the young defender who has improved so well to command a first team position since joining from Rospak sc, the feeder club of Medeama Sc.

Medeama Sc will travel to Conakry on the weekend of September 28-30, 2023 for the reverse fixture against Horoya AC of Guinea for a place in the Group Stage of the CAF Champions League.
