Medeama SC, the reigning Ghana Premier League champions, have reportedly completed the signing of their former forward Benjamin Bature ahead of next season.
The 26-year-old striker has rejoined his former club, King Faisal, which suffered relegation in the 2022–23 season. Bature has signed a three-year deal with the Yellow Mauves, who will represent Ghana in the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign.
In the just-ended season, the Tarkwa-based side lacked firepower upfront, with Jonathan Sowah being the only potent attacker in the team. He scored 12 goals to propel the team to glory.

Their next top scorer of the season was Vincent Atinga, who played as a center-back, with the majority of his 11 goals coming from the spot.
Due to goalscoring issues, the Yellow and Mauve have been active in the market for a prolific forward. They have now settled on their former striker, who impressed for King Faisal despite the club’s demotion.

The forward made 24 appearances for King Faisal in the recently concluded season, scoring six goals and providing one assist.
Bature joined King Faisal last season after departing Tunisian side JS Kairouan in 2020. He previously played for Medeama in 2014 and signed a contract extension in 2017. He moved to North Africa in 2019, where he spent one season with JS Kairouan. He also played for Nigeria’s Nasarawa United.
