Medeama Sporting Club will use the Cape Coast Stadium for the upcoming Confederation of African Football Champions League campaign.
The Tarkwa-based side will revert to its alternative venue due to the unreadiness of the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium which is currently under construction.
Medeama SC, the BetPawa Premier League holders will be competing in the upcoming CAF flagship club tournament for the first time in the Club’s history.
The team per the Club Licensing requirements submitted both the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium and the Cape Coast Stadium as first choice and alternative choice.
With the news that the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium will not be ready at the time of the commencement of the tournament, the Club will compete at the Cape Coast Stadium for the preliminary round of games.

The 28th edition of the CAF Champions League will commence on August 18 to September 30 for the preliminary rounds.
66 clubs from 54 member associations will take part in this year’s competition.
