Coming across a complete striker in this contemporary world especially in Ghana where the football world know as the the production factory of midfielders is very rare.
Unlike other countries, Ghana is mainly blessed with midfielders and not much when it comes to complete goal mongers thus finding a complete striker in the country is burdensome.
This has culminated to finding a replacement for Asamoah Gyan in the Black Stars. It has been a strenuous task for the country with Caleb Ekuban, Bernard Terkpetey, Benjamin Tetteh, Emmanuel Gyasi, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams and others not fitting the cap after several chances.
Narrowing it down to the domestic league, even though some intelligent strikers like Bernard Dong-Bortey, Eric Bekoe, Prince Tagoe, Emmanuel Clottey, Augustine Okrah, not forgetting the dangerous Alex Asamoah, Hans Kwoffie, Kofi Owusu and Mahatma Otto have all graced the Ghanaian top-flight league, none of these amazing forwards reached the very apex like where the midfielders of Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien, Stephen Appiah, Anthony Annan, Kwadwo Asamoah and others left the mark.
The pedestal has recently declined to a certain stage that strikers uncovered by the domestic league have failed to make a mark for themselves even in clubs in the African continent. The likes of Prince Owusu Agyemang, Diawisie Taylor, Kwame Peprah, Kwame Opoku, Solomon Sarfo Taylor and others who were dominating the Ghanaian league have failed to reach their full potential after moving to clubs within the continent of Africa.
But hope springs eternal as there is an emergence of a new kid in the division one league tipped to reach the full potential of his career and hopefully become the replacement for Asamoah Gyan in the Black Stars.
