Mexx Multimedia School’s Mask-Up Campaign has been well received by the masses with the media school adding a virtual concert to help in the promotion of the combat against the COVID–19 Pandemic.
The multimedia school introduced the campaign to push awareness creation of the combat of the virus at deprived communities in and around Sekondi–Takoradi.
The campaign includes a virtual concert to be streamed daily on the Facebook Page of Mexx Multimedia with some top artists in the metropolis lined up to perform.
Cases of the Coronavirus in the Western Region have sprung up to 233 cases within a week making it more prudent to raise awareness and the push to control the spread.

Speaking to Mr. Mark Turkson the Chief Executive Officer of Mexx Multimedia, he relayed plans and how he together with his team plan to execute the initiative.
“The term mask-up came up because we wanted everyone to wear a mask, exactly for those who cannot afford. So, we basically get people to donate and re-donate to people who cannot afford.
“There will be some performers to seal the event. Artists will be leading us to re–donate the masks. Areas like Adakope, New Takoradi, Kansawredo, some areas of Sekondi adding up to about 12 deprive areas will benefit.

“We have received items voluntarily, others request proposals. We have received from some individuals who have given us 10, 20… 200 masks from Atlantic Hotel, 100 masks from Takoradi Technical University and there will be more, Bishop Ogyiri Asare’s wife gave us 200 all on voluntarily.
“We have El Manuel, SK Frimpong, Ernestina Conney, with a daily performance of 30 – 45 minutes daily. In all about 10 people will perform, one or two artists will perform in a day” – CEO Mexx Multimedia, Mark Turkson.
