Milot Pokuaa has expressed excitement over news that the Ministry of Youth and Sports through Youth Employment Agency will support 480 registered women’s footballers with GHS 500.00 monthly allowances for 6 months.
The red-hot Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies FC forward revealed her blistering mood hearing the news and how far it will go to strengthen the women’s game.

The Ghana Football Association on Wednesday, July 1 reached announced a partnership with the MOYS and YEA to assist 480 players registered across the 16 Women’s Premier League clubs scattered across the country.
Players will receive monthly allowances on top of their salaries for the 6 months starting July 2020.

The decision has been met with several applauds with the latest coming from the goal machine, Milot Pokuaa.
“It’s an exciting news, I felt very happy seeing it. Even when I wasn’t playing professionally and when I became a professional player, I never heard Gov’t giving us this support.
“This will go long way to improve our game, and players will be able to afford a lot of things to help improve the standard.

Milot Pokuaa blasted 10 goals and 5 assists the invalidated 2019/2020 Women’s Premier League season and was the leading top scorer. She saw Hasaacas Ladies climbed to the top of the league log in southern zone despite a shaky start.
