The Ministry of Health (MoH) has been given financial clearance to engage the services of eighteen thousand, four hundred and forty-five (18,445) health professionals.
This was contained in a release from the Ministry of Finance signed by the deputy Minister Abena Osei-Asare.

The beneficiaries will be health professionals who are yet to be posted to various institutions across the country.
Meanwhile as at July 2020, the government had recruited ninety thousand, six hundred and ninety-six (90,696) permanent and temporary healthcare workers.

Out of the total employed, twenty-nine thousand, five hundred and eighteen (29,518) are temporary staff, whilst the remaining sixty-one thousand, one hundred and seventy-eight (61,178) are permanent.
