The 2019 edition of the annual MO Simba Awards initiated by the majority shareholder of the club, Mohammed Dewji, was held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 in Dar es Salaam.
The awards is aimed at appreciating players that performed extraordinary to help the Msimbadzi Reds to achieve success in a particular season.
Simba Sporting Club gallantly defended the Tanzania Premier League and reached the quarterfinals of the CAF Champions League for the very first time in the club’s history.
The night saw Ghana midfielder, James Agyekum Kotei clinching the overall best midfielder award while captain John Raphael Bocco was voted the best striker with Meddie Kagerwi’mnninge the overall best player award.
